| Detailed Description: |
This is a 2 barrel 2300 carburetor with a vacuum operated governor. This one has been on the shelf for 40 to 50 years. It shows not sign of ever having been used. It's tag says it was "completely disassembled and remanufactured by International Harvester company". The tag is at least 40 years old. The carb looks New old stock. There is no sign of it ever being on an engine. It looks to me like a carb that was rejected at the factory for some reason and then sent to the factory carb shop for some kind of repair. It has been on the shelf of a IH dealership ever since. This carb will need to have a manual choke cable and can be used on any IH V-8 engine. The governor was used to maintain a set RPM. If you have a PTO device like a winch or post hole digger, this would be the carb for you.
If you get this carb and do not like it, you can return it within 30 days. If it comes into contact with fuel, it becomes NON RETURNABLE.
If for any reason, this carb smells like fuel, is is NOT refundable. IF YOU DECIDE TO USE THIS CARB, FLUSH OUT THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM,
PUT IN A NEW FUEL FILTER, AND CLEAN OUT THE FUEL PUMP BOWL. THE SMALLEST AMOUNT OF DEBRIS IN THE FUEL LINES CAN DISABLE YOUR CARB. |
