Priced each. We now have the reel retractors that are used in the tailgates of A, B, and C-series Travelalls. On the vehicles that had tailgates, there are two cables that attach to the rear pillars and feed into the tailgate. They attach to a reel-type spring assembly that pulls on the cables. These pull the cables in to help support the tailgate. This is to make it easy for even a child to close the tailgate with very little effort. Without these, even a strong fella would have trouble closing the tailgate, which weighs in excess of 100 pounds.
These are made of phosphate-coated steel, with a stainless steel reel. Up until now, the only source on these was a possible wrecking yard truck, or some NOS units at a swap meet. We tracked down the original supplier for these parts, and can supply you with as many as you need! Call us today! |
